Tomaszewski, Garin M., MD
![]()
Director of Interventional Radiology, Department of Radiology
Assistant Professor of Oncology, Roswell Park Cancer Institute
Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology,
State University of New York
School of Medicine and Bio-medical Sciences at Buffalo
Dr. Tomaszewski joined Roswell Park after a Fellowship in Angio/Interventional Radiology, University of Colorado, Denver, and radiology residency in the same institution. His work plan at Roswell is completely clinical, but, nonetheless, he is happy to assist with imaging and interventional studies on protocol and research patients of all kinds.
Garin’s Interventional Radiology service at Roswell Park provides all types of venous access, vascular imaging, placement of tubes and drains (nephrostomy, etc), biopsies (shared with Body Imaging), and all imaging procedures that require intervention (e.g., percutaneous cholangiograms). Furthermore, the service interacts routinely with Nuclear Medicine in a multimodality therapeutic procedure involving infusion of radiolabeled microspheres into branches of the hepatic artery for the palliation of hepatic metastatic disease.
Dr. Tomaszewski is sought after as a teacher by medical students.
