Dr. Pollina received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1994 and did his surgical internship and neurosurgical residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo Consortium Hospitals where he completed training in 2001. He worked as a Research Fellow in the Laboratory of Cellular Implantation and Neural Regeneration, State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and completed a fellowship in Neurosurgical Oncology and Gamma Knife Stereotactic Surgery at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Currently, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Pollina has a special interest in spinal and brain tumor surgery and gamma knife radiosurgery.
