Wen Wee Ma, MBBS, was appointed attending physician in the expanding drug development program in the Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 2007.
Dr. Ma provides treatment to patients with gastrointestinal cancers in addition to his work in phase I clinical trails. He comes to RPCI from the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins where he completed fellowship training in medical oncology and hematology and earned a Certificate in the Science of Clinical Investigation from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Dr. Ma earned his medical degree from the University of Sydney, Australia (1999), and graduated summa cum laude. He did his early medical training in Singapore and completed his internal medical residency training at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Maryland (2004). Dr. Ma is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.
Dr. Ma’s research interests focus on developing novel therapies for pancreatic cancers and phase I clinical trials. His honors include an American Society of Clinical Oncology Young Investigator Award and American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Scholar-in-Training Award. He is a member of American College of Physicians and American Society of Clinical Oncology, and an associate member of the AACR.
