Dr. Loud joined Roswell Park after his Fellowship in Body Imaging at the University of North Carolina and Radiology Residency (and Chief Residency) at the State University of New York Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse. As Director of Body Imaging, he organizes and arranges for all coverage and service in CT, Body MRI, and Ultrasound. He is an active participant in the CT, ultrasound, and body MRI services, with special interest and expertise in guided biopsies of all kinds.
His research has included pioneering, seminal, and nationally-recognized work in venous thromboembolism. He is a sought-after teacher of medical students and Fellows, and a full co-author of the department’s book, Cost-Effective Diagnostic Imaging: The Clinicians’ Guide, fourth edition, Mosby/Elsevier, 2006.
