Dr. Charles M. LeVea joined the faculty at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 2003, as staff physician in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine.
Dr. LeVea came to RPCI from the University of Rochester Medical Center where he served in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. He earned his doctoral degree in Experimental Pathology from the University of Pennsylvania (1992); completed his medical degree from the State University of New York at the Stony Brook School of Medicine (1996); and completed his residency and fellowship training in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine (2003) at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. He also served as a part-time Deputy Medical Examiner for the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office.
Dr. LeVea is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology and is licensed in the State of New York.
Dr. LeVea’s research interests focus on the signaling pathways involved in contact inhibition of EGF-dependent cell cycle progression. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the College of American Pathologists and has authored or co-authored several journal articles and abstracts.
