Hyunseok Peter Kang, MD, joined Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) as a staff physician in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. He specializes in molecular pathology and microbiology.
Dr. Kang completed a fellowship in Molecular and Genetic Pathology (2007) at the University of Pittsburgh and residency training in Clinical Pathology (2005) from Washington University in St. Louis. He earned his medical degree (2000) from Seoul National University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea.
Dr. Kang is a Diplomate certified in Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. He is a member of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry, College of American Pathologists and the Association for Molecular Pathology.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine comprises of five divisions including Surgical Pathology, the Clinical Laboratory and several specialty labs, which all focus on the accurate diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.
