Dr. Dan M. Iancu joined Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 2006, in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Dr Iancu came to RPCI from The University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, TX, where he served as a research scientist.
Dr. Iancu earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Faculty of General Medicine, Bucharest, Romania. He completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Winthrop University Hospital, Mineola, NY; and a fellowship in Chemical Pathology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Iancu’s research interests focus on the role of serum tumor markers in the diagnosis of metastatic breast and prostate cancer and immunoglobulin free light chain analysis in patients with multiple myeloma. He has authored or co-authored several journal articles. Dr. Iancu is also interested in circulating tumor cells for monitoring patient response to therapy.
