Dr. Jorge A. Gomez joined the faculty of the Department of Radiation Medicine at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 1999. He also is Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo.

Dr. Gomez earned his medical degree at the Central University of Venezuela School of Medicine, Caracas. He completed his residency training in Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY, and fellowship training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY.

Dr. Gomez comes to RPCI from Comp Health where he served as a radiation oncologist at several locations in New York State. Dr. Gomez is board-certified by The American Board of Radiology. Dr. Gomez’s main area of clinical activity and research is in lung cancers.
