Dr. Victor A. Filadora II joined the staff of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 2003 as a physician in the Department of Anesthesiology. He is currently Director of the Center for Preoperative Evaluation, Medical Director of Ambulatory Surgery Center and an Attending Anesthesiologist. Dr. Filadora came to RPCI from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts where he completed residency training. He also served as Chief Resident in Anesthesiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Filadora earned his doctoral degree in 1999 from the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where he also completed an internship in medicine in 2000. Dr. Filadora earned his Masters of Science from UB’s School of Medicine and Biomedical Science in 1994, where his research included working with monoclonal antibodies. He completed his Masters of Business Administration in 2007 from the UB Executive MBA program.
Dr. Filadora is licensed by New York State and Massachusetts, and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Filadora’s research interests include clinical research and outcomes-based research in perioperative medicine.
Dr. Filadora is a member of many professional organizations including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, New York State Society of Anesthesiologists, Medical Society of the State of New York, Erie County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. He serves on a number of committees at RPCI.
Dr. Filadora has authored several journals, book chapters and abstracts, and lectures in his specialty.
