Dr. George Deeb joined the faculty of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 2005, as a Staff Physician in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. He is also an Associate Director of the Clinical Flow Cytometry Laboratory.
Dr. Deeb earned his medical degree from the School of Medicine, Damascus University, Damascus, Syria (1995) and completed residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University at Buffalo (2003) and fellowships in Oncologic Surgical Pathology at RPCI (2004) and in Hematopathology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Madison, WI (2005). Dr. Deeb is certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematology by the American Board of Pathology.
Dr. Deeb’s main research interests are in defining genetic and immunophenotypic markers for diagnosis, classification, and predicting prognosis of hematologic malignancies. He has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts.
