Wiam Bshara, MD, joined Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) as a staff physician in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. He has strong interest in the pathology of the breast, prostate and gynecologic cancers.
Dr. Bshara completed a fellowship in Oncologic Surgical Pathology (2007) in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at RPCI; residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (2005) at the University at Buffalo Graduate Medical-Dental Education Consortium Program; and in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (2002) at Allegheny General Hospital.
Dr. Bshara also trained in Laboratory Medicine at the Damascus University School of Medicine in Syria (1998). He earned his medical degree (1995) at the Tishreen University School of Medicine in Lattakia, Syria.
Dr. Bshara is a member of the American Association of Cancer Research, College of American Pathologists and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
