Jeff A. Walker was appointed Executive Vice President for Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 2008. He joined the Institute in 2007 as the Associate Institute Director for Administration.
Mr. Walker works closely with Donald L. Trump, MD, RPCI President and CEO, to oversee the development, direction and operation of the Institute including administrative, scientific and clinical departments, all mission area programs, oversight of strategic planning initiatives and the renewal of the National Cancer Institute core grant. He also works closely with senior faculty and staff to integrate administrative and departmental functions.
Mr. Walker has held senior administrative leadership positions at two nationally designated comprehensive cancer centers. At the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, he served as Associate Director of Administration and was responsible for finance and operations. During his time at the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Walker served as Assistant Director of Clinical Investigations and Administrative Director for the Division of Hematology/Oncology. He also functioned as Vice President of Finance for ProlX Pharmaceutics, a biotech start-up company based in Tuscon, AZ.
Mr. Walker earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Pennsylvania State University in 1986 and a masters of business administration degree from University of Pittsburgh in 1990. He serves on the finance and investment committee of the Association of American Cancer Institutes, and is a member of the Alliance of Dedicated Cancer Centers, Cancer Center Administrators Forum and the Medical Group Management Association.
