JoAnne Ruh joined the administration of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 1998, as Vice President of Information Systems.  She is responsible for planning, development and management of RPCI information systems and data networks. Ms. Ruh is a founder and board member of the Western New York HeatheNet, a regional health network.

Ms. Ruh has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of information technology (IT) with a major emphasis in systems design evaluation and consultation and substantial experience in health care IT.

Ms. Ruh received a BA in Economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MBA, with a concentration in Health Care Administration, from Canisius College.  During her career, she has served as Director of Financial Applications with the Catholic Health System, Buffalo, NY.  Prior to that appointment, she served as Director of Information Systems at St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga, NY, and in various capacities with Delaware North Companies, Marine Midland Bank, N.A., and Columbus McKinnon Corporation.
