Marcia Gruber joined the staff of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 2001 as Vice President for Ambulatory Care Services after serving as Clinical Administrative Director for the GI Multidisciplinary Center at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. In 2006, she was named Vice President of Therapeutic Services & Patient Access which includes the Departments of Patient Access, Social Work, Psychology, Case Management, Rehabilitation Services, Employee Health Services, Amherst Satellite Chemo & Clinic Center, Enterprise Communication Services, Nutrition Service including the retail cafeteria, and Patient Transportation.
Ms. Gruber earned her Nursing Degree from Niagara University in 1975 and completed three Masters degrees in Adult Health Nursing (SUNY Buffalo,1985), Epidemiology (SUNY Buffalo, 1995) and Communication and Leadership (Canisius College, 2006), respectively.
Ms. Gruber has had many publications and been a presenter at many nursing professional meetings over the last 20 years. Additionally she has held several leadership positions in the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses & Associates, Inc, and is currently a member of the Oncology Nursing Society Steering Council. She is a member of the Association of Health Care Executives, Association of Cancer Executives, Oncology Nursing Society and the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing. Her interests and professional focus include clinic operations including outpatient throughput and nursing work flow, operations management, chemotherapy operations and chemotherapy facility design.
