BUFFALO, NY – Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) is listed among the nation’s best cancer hospitals by AARP The Magazine.

“I am proud that Roswell Park Cancer Institute has achieved this national recognition for the high quality care provided to its patients. It is an honor to be recognized by our colleagues as one of the best cancer hospitals in the nation,” said Judy Smith, MD, FACS, Medical Director, RPCI.
“Everyone who walks through our doors understands the quality and excellence of our cancer care, our services and programs and our staff and faculty,” said Donald L. Trump, MD, FACP, President & CEO, RPCI. “This recognition by AARP helps to raise national awareness of Roswell Park.”
The list was compiled by Consumers’ Checkbook, a nonprofit organization, and coincides with the release of the May/June issue of AARP The Magazine. Consumers’ Checkbook surveyed doctors from across the country and collected 140,000 ratings of hospitals in their own communities and asked the doctors whether, and where, they would recommend patients seek care in other communities for extremely difficult cases of heart conditions, cancer, and other ailments.
