Roswell Park Awarded American Cancer Society Grant
BUFFALO, NY – The American Cancer Society (ACS) has awarded Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) a $240,000 Institutional Research Grant to support novel research projects of junior faculty at RPCI.
“With this ACS grant, Roswell Park is able to nurture young scientists by providing vital seed funding,” said Youcef M. Rustum, PhD, Senior Vice President, Science Administration, RPCI and coordinator of the ACS grant. “Roswell Park continues to set a standard of excellence and establish a stimulating environment in which young scientists are encouraged in their quest to explore cancer research opportunities.”
The ACS is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by saving lives, diminishing suffering and preventing cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.
