Roswell Park Cancer Institute Awarded $2.1 Million In Grants
BUFFALO, NY – National Institutes of Health grants totaling $2,174,101 have been awarded to six members of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute faculty.
- Candace Johnson, PhD, Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, a $477,581 grant to study the “Anti-tumor Mechanisms & Therapeutic Effects of Vitamin D.”
- Hiroki Nagase, MD, PhD, Department of Cancer Genetics, a $404,460 grant for the “Analysis and Identification of Skin Cancer in Mice.”
- Carl Porter, PhD, Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, a $390,215 grant to evaluate the “Antiproliferative Potential of Polyamine Catabolism.”
- Donald Trump, MD, Department of Medicine, a grant for $339,915 for the “Evaluation of CYP24 as a Target for Enhancing Vitamin D.”
- Elizabeth Repasky, PhD, Department of Immunology, a $288,360 grant to study “Thermal Regulation of the Anti-Tumor Immune Response.”
- Protul Shrikant, PhD, Department of Immunology, a $273,570 grant to investigate "Regulation of Antigen-Specific CD8+ T Cell Responses by IL-21.”
