Roswell Park to Host National Cancer Conference

BUFFALO, NY—Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) will host the National Comprehensive Cancer Network’s (NCCN) Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology Symposium on Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, September 17, 7:30 am – 12:30 pm, in the Zebro Conference Room, Center for Genetics & Pharmacology, Virginia Street.
The conference will offer insights into the NCCN Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Guidelines to physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other clinical professionals who manage lung cancer patients. The focus will be on sequential recommendations for the management of lung malignancies; examine new treatment approaches that have been incorporated into the guidelines including the use of drugs, biologics and diagnostics. The conference will feature interactive audience participation using case scenarios to discuss the application of guidelines and the data supporting specific recommendations.
RPCI faculty presenters are Alex A. Adjei, MD, PhD, Senior Vice President of Clinical Research and the Katherine Anne Gioia Chair in Cancer Medicine, who will discuss “Novel Agents for the Therapy of Lung Cancer,” and Todd L. Demmy, MD, Chief of Thoracic Surgery who will present “Therapy for Stages I, IIA, IIB, and IIIA (T3, N1) Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.”
