Roswell Park Cancer Institute Faculty to Speak at National Conference

BUFFALO, NY – Members of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) faculty are among a distinguished roster of speakers at the 12th Annual Conference of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN): “Clinical Practice Guidelines & Quality Cancer Care,” March 14 - 18, 2007, in Hollywood, FL.
More than 1,300 oncologists and cancer professionals from around the nation will attend the annual NCCN meeting which provides professionals with a forum for discussing updates of NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines, new cancer therapies and emerging issues in oncology business management.
RPCI presentors include:
- James L. Mohler, MD, Chair, Department of Urologic Oncology: “Improving Outcomes in the Treatment of the Elderly with Lung, Breast, Prostate, or Colon/Rectal Cancers,” Thursday, March 15, 7 - 8 am.
- Brahm Segal, MD, Department of Medicine: “Management of the Immunocompromised Patient with Cancer,” Friday, March 16, 3:05 - 3:35 pm; and “Update: Prevention and Treatment of Infections in Patients with Cancer Guidelines,” Saturday, March 17, 9:35 -10:15 am.
- Stephen B. Edge, MD, FACS, Chair, Department of Breast and Soft Tissue Surgery: "Sunday Brunch with the Experts: Ensuring Quality in Your Practice and Hospitals,” Sunday, March 18, 8:30 - 10 am.

Hohn, MD, President and CEO, RPCI, is Chair of the NCCN Board of Directors, and Dr. Edge is a member of the NCCN Board. “As one its founding members, Roswell Park Cancer Institute continues to play a leadership role with the NCCN, offering expertise of its faculty to further the mission to improve the quality and availability of care provided to all cancer patients,” said William T.
