BUFFALO, NY- The tax on a package of cigarettes is scheduled to increase $1.25 per pack. Make April “tax freedom” month by joining the Stop Smoking Clinic at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI).

The three-session clinic will be held on Wednesdays, April 9, 16 and 23 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, in the Research Studies Center at RPCI.  Eligible smokers will receive a free two-week starter kit of nicotine patches to help them quit. Most local insurance plans cover the $10 clinic fee.
