New Appointment to Roswell Park

BUFFALO, NY- Nikhil Khushalani, MBBS, has been appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI). He will specialize in treating patients diagnosed with upper gastrointestinal and gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
Dr. Khushalani earned his medical degree at the Topiwala National Medical College, Bombay, India, completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and a fellowship in Medical Oncology at RPCI. Dr. Khushalani is a Diplomate in the American Board of Internal Medicine and board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
Dr. Khushalani comes to RPCI from UB where he served as Assistant Professor of Medicine. He also served as staff physician at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Buffalo, NY, in the department of Hematology-Oncology.
Dr. Khushalani’s research interests include investigation of novel therapeutics and molecular biology of esophagus and gastric cancers.
Dr. Khushalani is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research and the Cancer and Leukemia Group B. He has authored or co-authored several articles, abstracts and book chapters.
