Program Director of Breast Radiation Oncology
Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Department of Radiation Medicine, is recruiting a full-time Radiation Oncologist to lead the Division of Breast Radiation Medicine. Applicants should be Board Eligible/Certified and academically oriented with a strong interest in education, research (basic, translational, or clinical) and patient care. The Breast Cancer Program currently has over 40 clinicians and clinical scientists, is located in a new cancer hospital within a 35 acre research facility, and is organized to promote muti-disciplinary collaboration. The Department currently has a complement of 11 Radiation Oncologists. The state-of-the-art clinical facility was opened in 1998 and is equipped with 4 duel energy Linacs with respiratory gating/portal imaging (including Varian Trilogy), Orthovoltage suite, Gamma Knife suite, 2 GE CT simulators and Eclipse treatment planning systems. An intraoperative HDR brachytherapy suite/recovery room is located within the Department, as well. Training programs include an ACGME accredited residency, dosimetry, therapy, medical physics and fellowships. The Department participates in clinical trials through the RTOG, CALGB, NSABP, GOG, and CCG.
