Position Details:

Shift:  Full-time; Rotating Shifts

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must possess a High School diploma or G.E.D. and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as a Pharmacy Technician; or Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (cPhT) and the equivalent of six (6) months of full-time pharmacy experience. The preferred candidate will have some college including college chemistry and algebra; experience in a Hospital Pharmacy and be certified pharmacy technician.

Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

The Pharmacy Technician assists in dispensing medications and intravenous additives including solutions; assist in the unit dose dispensing and repacking of medications; deliver medications to assigned nursing stations; deliver floor stock carts to assigned nursing stations; assist with preparing Pharmaceutical orders and receiving Pharmaceutical supplies; maintain Pharmaceutical supplies and assist in the refilling and operation of automated dispensing machines.
