Position Details
Shift: Part-Time (70%) - M-F variable days and hours
Salary: $22.97 - $29.53 (based on experience)

Eligibility Criteria:
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in oncology and have experience starting IV's, assisting with procedures and monitoring patients during recovery, and with conscious sedation.
Nature of Work and Responsibilities:
The Nurse II in Radiation Medicine will provide nursing services for radiation oncology patients undergoing conventional radiotherapy, Gamma Knife and other special procedures. This includes assessment of new patients on consultation and monitor patients undergoing treatment and on a follow up basis; educate new patients and families on radiotherapy procedures; assist with special procedures including Gamma Knife Radiosurgery, total body irradiation, brachytherapy, prostate seed implantation and intraoperative radiotherapy; provide support for Cat Scans done in the department, starting IV's for all patients erquiring contrast and handling any contrast reactions; provide support for all patient medical emergencies; monitor patients and assist physicians with procedures under conscious sedation and monitoring patients during recovery period after all procedures.
