Position Details:

Shift:  Part-time (20 hours/week); Days (variable)

Salary:  $17.39/hour.  Includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must possess License or Permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.  Applicants must have graduated from an accredited practical nursing school’s LPN program.

The preferred candidate will have previous experience in blood donor collections, as well as excellent customer-service and communication skills.

Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

This Licensed Practical Nurse will procure laboratory specimens from RPCI blood product donors via fingerstick and venipuncture methods and perform whole blood collection and platelet collection via apheresis techniques.  This candidate will also be responsible for donor management and documentation during collection procedures.
