Position Details

Shift: Rotational, Full-Time

Salary: $72,412 annually and a comprehensive benefit package.

Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum Qualifications: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Master's degree in Nursing, appropriate certification, 16 CEU's annually and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting or five (5) years of full-time nursing experience in acute care support setting.

Preferred Qualifications: OCN and/or AOCN Certification.

Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will function in the role of expert clinician, educator, consultant, case manager and researcher. The CNS will work in collaboration with the Medical and nursing staff. The CNS will monitor the clinical care of patients and provide clinical support to improve patient care and patient outcomes. They will also assess, plan, and evaluate nursing process using a high level of expertise; evaluate effectiveness of patient care provided to patients and consult with and/or lead member of the disciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate health services.
