- RPCI offers all patients and survivors support through the efforts of the Community Cancer Resource Center (CCRC). At the CCRC, trained cancer information specialists teach how to properly access, interpret and effectively personalize the wealth of cancer information that is available. A unique Breast Cancer Resource Center is housed within the breast clinic to offer additional support to that population of patients and their families.
- The Clinical Genetics Service offers many unique services to cancer patients and survivors. One initiative includes DNA Banking, which allows a person with a known diagnosis of cancer, but not a known genetic profile for its cause, to coordinate the collection and storage of a blood sample that may someday allow their family to understand the genesis of their particular cancer.
- Every June RPCI hosts Cancer Survivor Day, an all ages picnic that encourages long-term and newly diagnosed patients to come together in a Celebration of Life.
- Each Fall, the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Team coordinates All Stars Day, a celebration of the patients, their donors and their caregivers.
