Stacey Scott Lung Cancer Registry

A major roadblock to early detection lung cancer research has been the inability to visualize cellular changes inside the lungs. However, recent technological advances have made it possible to view abnormal changes to tissue lining inside the lungs. Using a procedure called
autofluorescence bronchoscopy (AB), clinicians can view precancerous lesions which would have previously been undetected.
The Stacey Scott Lung Cancer Registry will collect and store biologic samples and corresponding data from patients undergoing AB examination at registry partner cancer centers located in the United States, Canada, and Europe. The registry will permit physicians and scientists internationally to conduct research leading to important breakthroughs in early detection and treatment for lung cancer patients around the world.
