Roswell Park employees unite to show support for patients and research
WHAT: Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s doctors, scientists, faculty and staff will jump-start recruitment for Team Roswell—the internal Ride For Roswell team preparing for the June 28 event at UB’s Baird Point in Amherst. Roswell staffers will share their own individual stories for why they are riding this summer, and will encourage all Western New Yorkers to join the effort. The Roswell Park team, led by President and CEO Donald L. Trump, MD, has set a goal of becoming the largest team at this year’s event and challenges all other corporations. The Ride For Roswell offers 6 different biking distances and virtual riding options. Its goal is to again raise over $1. million for research and patient care. Visit www.RideForRoswell.org for details on forming your own team or call 845-8788.

ABOUT THE RIDE FOR ROSWELL:
The Ride For Roswell 2008, presented by Wegmans, with support from Praxair, Inc., Sahlen Packing Co., and many other sponsors will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2008 starting and ending at Baird Point, on the University at Buffalo’s North Campus in Amherst. The Ride is one of Upstate New York’s premier cycling fundraisers and is Western New York’s largest one-day biking event. The event raises essential funds to help initiate new cancer research studies and to provide leading-edge care to over 24,000 cancer patients served by Roswell Park annually.
