On June 29, 2008, more than 100 young people attended the first annual "Beach Ball" at Fox Valley Country Club. The sixth, seventh and eighth graders who attended the event raised more than $2,000 for Carly's Club to support children with cancer and their families and pediatric cancer research.

Many thanks to Kiss 98.5 and DJ Anthony for providing the evening’s music and entertainment, as well as the organizers and attendees who made the “Beach Ball” a success!
