Roswell Walks To Stop Cancer In Its Tracks

Help Stop Cancer in its Tracks September 17 at “Roswell Walks for Cancer Cures”
Individuals and groups sought to help cancer patients and new research.
BUFFALO, NY—Roswell Walks for Cancer Cures has been announced for Saturday, September 17 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in three locations: downtown Buffalo, Lewiston and East Aurora (which is the 11th Annual Bosom Buddies Walk for Roswell). The event, sponsored by the Roswell Park Alliance Community Advisory Board, offers 1.5-, 3- and 5-mile walking routes.
Registrants are asked to raise funds to support the cancer research or patient care program of their choice at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI). New this year, participants will walk side-by-side with the doctors, nurses and additional members of their care staff. They will also receive different color t-shirts to signify which area of cancer research they are raising money for.
Pre-event registration is $10. Walk-up registration is $15. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at these locations: Academy Park (Center Street in Lewiston), and WJK Park and Gardens (Elm and Carlton Streets in Buffalo, at the entrance of Roswell Park). Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. in East Aurora. Each participant must raise at least $25 in pledges by the day of the walk. Children under age 12 may participate at no cost. Refreshments and t-shirts will be provided.
