Marrano/Marc Equity to present donation of $160,000 to Roswell Park Cancer Institute from “Raising the Roof” home sale building vendors and suppliers worked collaboratively to help fund cancer cures.

SUBJECT:  Patrick A. Marrano, President of Marrano/Marc Equity Corporation, will present a check for $160,000 to Dr. David C. Hohn, President & CEO of Roswell Park Cancer Institute, representing monies raised from the home builder's Raising the Roof program. Raising the Roof is an innovative fund raiser created with Roswell Park in which Marrano built a new patio home at Springbrook Shores in Elma -- with the participation of its vendors and subcontractors -- and is now donating the proceeds from the sale of the home to fund groundbreaking cancer research. The check presentation will take place at the patio home during a VIP reception for all business partners who donated materials, products, time and/or labor to the project.

There will also be a special presentation of a Certificate of Achievement to Kaitlyn Schneider, a 12-year-old Roswell Park patient, who served as Junior Interior Design Assistant in the decoration of the home. The presentations present an opportunity for a positive news story focused on the cooperation of many Western New York businesses for the benefit of Roswell Park, America's first cancer center, and today one of just 39 comprehensive cancer centers designated by the National Cancer Institute.
