Kids Create Hope Walks for Carly's Club

BUFFALO, NY -- On June 7, 2008, The Kids Create Hope: Shane G. Ferguson, MD Pediatric Cancer Research Fund raised more than $15,000 in support of Carly's Club through their second annual fundraising walk.
Walkers at Beaver Island State Park chose between a 3K and 5K, and later enjoyed celebratory refreshments, giveaways and games. The walk was hosted by 97 Rock's Rob Lederman and Sabres alumnus Rob Ray served as honorary co-chair. The endowed fund was established in memory of Shane Ferguson, MD, a Western New York pediatrician who passed away in September 2006 after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
