Fashion Show Inspired By Local Cancer Patients Will Benefit Research Seeking Cures
Daughter with leukemia dedicates show to her mother, a breast cancer survivor
Buffalo, NY — On Saturday, January 21, Deme’s Design & Boutique will hold a Fashion Show Extravaganza at 5:00 p.m. in Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s Hilleboe Auditorium (in the Institute’s Research Studies Center). A portion of the proceeds will benefit leukemia and breast cancer research and patient care at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The show will also benefit IMEC Inc., an organization that assists youths in Brooklyn with education and career objectives.
The Deme’s Design and Boutique Fashion Extravaganza will feature fashions designed by coordinator Christine Wingo, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in 2004 and is a patient at Roswell Park. Christine is dedicating the show to her mom, Dianne Wingo, a breast cancer survivor who took care of Christine during her diagnosis.
The evening will also include live music by Gospel Dun Different and a special tribute to all cancer patients. Some items will be available for purchase or by special order the night of the show. Tickets are $10 and can be bought at the door. Light refreshments will be served.
