"Denim and Diamonds" Raises $180,000 for Roswell Park Cancer Institute

(BUFFALO, NY) Over 500 guests attended Denim and Diamonds, presented by the Roswell Park Alliance Community Advisory Board and lead sponsor HSBC, at the Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans Music Hall on Friday night to raise nearly $180,000 for cancer research and patient care at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The casually elegant event featured cocktails, food, dancing to music from Intuition and Soul Provider, and a silent auction of over 100 items. Grand prize drawings for a diamond necklace from Ben Garelicks Jewelers and a sound system from May Audio highlighted the evening.
The Roswell Park Alliance Community Advisory Board is a volunteer membership organization that raises funds year-round to support scientific and clinical research, state-of-the-art medical care, and patient-related activities at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Roswell Park Cancer Institute, founded in 1898, is the nation’s first cancer research, treatment and education center and is the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in Upstate New York. RPCI is a member of the prestigious National Comprehensive Cancer Network, an alliance of the nation’s leading cancer centers.
