Cyclists and Volunteers Rally for The Ride For Roswell 2009 at Pledge Party
More than 8,500 riders and supporters expected at June 27 cycling event
WHAT: Cyclists and volunteers participating in The Ride For Roswell 2009 will gather to rally and celebrate with their teammates, turn in donations, have their bikes inspected and complete other final preparations for the June 27 event. The evening will feature live music, games and contests as participants “gear up” for this year’s Ride.

WHERE: University at Buffalo’s North Campus – Student Union
INTERVIEWS AVAILABLE: Riders, volunteers, and the event’s co-chairs, many of them cancer patients or survivors, will be available for interview.
DETAILS: Hundreds of riders are expected to attend The Ride For Roswell’s Pledge Party. Cyclists will consult with experts from local bike shops, have their bicycles inspected and purchase helmets and other equipment. Attendees will also have the opportunity to create “tribute cards” to carry with them on Ride day in honor or memory of those who have been affected by cancer.
The Ride For Roswell 2009, presented by Wegmans, will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2009, starting and ending at Baird Point, on the University at Buffalo’s North Campus in Amherst. Riders can choose from eight different routes, including a new three-mile Family Fun Ride.
