Golfing 100 Holes in One Day? “Chip In for Carly’s Club” golfers and pediatric patients take on the challenge to help find tomorrow’s cures
Target goal is to raise $150,000 for research and patient care
WHAT’S HAPPENING:
Ten adult golfers will participate in Chip in for Carly’s Club 2006 by golfing 100 holes in one day to raise money for pediatric cancer research and patient support programs of Carly’s Club at Roswell Park. The event was created by Stuart Scheff who last year single-handedly golfed and raised over $17,000 to help save lives. He has recruited friends who have joined his efforts with the goal of raising over $150,000. The golfers have been raising money through online and in-person donations from friends, family and local businesses. Carly’s Club members also will golf 100 holes of miniature golf on June 27 in “Junior Chip in for Carly’s Club” to support the golfers’ efforts on their behalf.
