Carly’s Club Great Big Carnival Offers All-You-Can-Eat Ice Cream and Family Fun June 11 at Dunn Tire Park
Festival will raise funds for pediatric cancer research and patient support at Roswell Park Cancer Institute
(BUFFALO, NY) From “Panda Paws” to “Bases Loaded,” Western New Yorkers are invited to dig into gallons and gallons of ice cream Saturday, June 11 from 3:00 to 10:00 pm at Dunn Tire Park, at the premiere of the Carly’s Club Great Big Carnival. The rain or shine event is presented by Perry’s Ice Cream, Nestle, and the Roswell Park Alliance Community Advisory Board, and will benefit pediatric cancer research and patient support programs at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
The Carnival will feature the return of Perry’s Ice Cream Bowl—a popular all-you-can-eat ice cream festival last held in the summer of 2003. The Ice Cream Bowl has been unfrozen to add all-new attractions, including more inflatable children’s games, batting cages, sports celebrity appearances and a live concert by recording artists, Seven Day Faith, at 8:30 pm. Fireworks will immediately follow the concert to complete the evening.
“Carly’s Club was founded on the principle of kids helping kids with cancer, and I know that Carly would be extremely excited to see so many people sharing in this family-themed event,” said Chuck Collard, a volunteer with the Roswell Park Alliance, and father of the late Carly Collard Cottone.
Carly passed away in August 2002 at age 11 after a three-year fight against brain cancer. Since her founding of Carly’s Club, it has grown to become Roswell Park’s official pediatric fundraising division. All funds raised from the Carnival will support research to find cures, and social support programs for children with cancer and their families at Roswell Park and across Western New York.
Presale tickets now are available for $5 (kids 2-12) and $10 (adults age 13 and up) at Tops Markets’ Tickets.com counters or at the Dunn Tire Park box office. Children under age two will receive free admission. Tickets also will be available at the gate that day (kids 2 to 12, $8; adults 13 and up, $12; kids under 2, Free).
