Proceeds Benefit Pediatric Cancer Research Through Fund Honoring Local Physician

Event Details:
Walk 3k or 5k in this inaugural event for the Kids Create Hope: Shane G. Ferguson, MD Pediatric Cancer Research Fund at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Rob Ray will serve as the honorary chairman of the Walk, which will be hosted by 97 Rock's Rob Lederman. After the walk, the event will feature a theme-tray raffle, giveaways and games. Refreshments will be served.
About Kids Creating Hope:
This endowed fund was established by the Ferguson family in memory of Shane Ferguson, a Western New York pediatrician who passed away in September 2006 after a 3-year battle with pancreatic cancer. All funds raised by the walk will support pediatric cancer research through Carly’s Club at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Kids Create Hope also was established to empower children to be proactive, giving members of society. For more information, visit www.kidscreatehope.org.

Carly's Club for Kids & Cancer Research in WNY exists to offer support programs to make life more manageable for children diagnosed with cancer and their families, and to raise funds for pediatric cancer research seeking cures at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Carly's Club is managed by the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
