Western New York
Buffalo is the second-largest city in New York. Its close proximity to Niagara Falls, Toronto, Rochester, Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, and the Finger Lakes region of Western New York provides extensive opportunities for sailing, bicycling, swimming, rowing, fishing, canoeing, and camping in the spring, summer and fall, and skiing, skating, and hockey in the winter. The Albright-Knox Museum of Art, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Studio Arena Theater, and Artpark (the New York State Park of visual and performing arts) sponsor numerous cultural events, and annual Shaw and Shakespeare festivals are held nearby in Canada. Buffalo passionately supports major professional teams in football (NFL Bills), ice hockey (NHL Sabres), as well as AAA Baseball (Bisons) and Lacrosse (Bandits). In addition, there are extensive facilities for tennis, basketball, golf, squash and racquetball in the area. The Buffalo Niagara airport is modern and convenient, and offers direct flights to many Eastern and Midwestern locations, including: NYC, Boston, Washington, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta and Florida.
