DESCRIPTION

This educational activity has been developed to update pharmacists, pharmacy interns, residents, technicians, researchers and administrators specializing in hematology/oncology practice on emerging new treatment regimens and supportive care therapies in oncology.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Following this program, participants should be able to:

Explain the role of vaccines in the treatment of cancer.
Describe potential benefits and risks of current and emerging therapies of major cancer sites.
Define the role of pharmacists in supportive care.
Identify the role of the pharmacist in smoking cessation counseling.
