Description
This program will familiarize gynecologists, oncologists, internists, family medicine physicians and other health care providers with the most current methods of screening, diagnosis and treatment of breast and gynecologic malignancies, and offer guidelines on which conditions can be addressed by the primary care provider.
Educational Objectives
Following this program, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the development of new HPV vaccines for treatment of cervical cancer
- Appropriately manage melanoma during pregnancy
- Discuss the implications and appropriate management of endometrial hyperplasia
- Explain the influence of a ruptured capsule during removal, and its impact on outcome for early stage ovarian cancer
- Consider the reliability of using tumor markers for early detection of ovarian cancer
- Evaluate new methods in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer
